The department has a high education, high professional title, skilled professional and technical personnel. There are 47 medical staff (21 doctors and 26 nurses). Among the doctors, there are 5 professors, 5 associate professors, 8 attending doctors and 3 resident doctors. There are 8 master supervisors, 8 medical doctors, 12 medical masters, and 2 returned medical students. Among the nurses, There are 1 associate chief nurse, 6 senior nurses, 17 nurses, and 2 assistant nurses.
We have established four sub-specialty groups: rhinology group, otology group, laryngology group and head and neck group, and have three diagnosis and treatment centers: allergic rhinitis diagnosis and treatment center, hearing center and vertigo center. The department has an annual outpatient volume of about 100,000 people, 100 open inpatient beds, and a total of more than 3,000 operations. At present, the department has a national otorhinolaryngology master awarding point (more than 60 medical masters have been trained）and a national resident doctor standardized training otorhinolaryngology base (more than 80 doctors have been trained). The department has undertaken a total of more than 20 scientific research projects (including national, provincial, municipal, school and hospital levels). The department has been awarded the strategic cooperation project jointly created by Nanchong Municipal People's Government, the Diagnosis and Treatment of newborn Hearing Impairment in Sichuan Province (Nanchong Branch Center), the member unit of China Hearing Health Alliance, the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Otolaryngology Diseases Network (the first batch), and the science Popularization Base of Nanchong City (the first batch). The national "standardized subcutaneous immunotherapy demonstration outpatient unit" (the only one in northeast Sichuan). In the past three years, we have published more than 60 papers, including more than 10 SCI papers, more than 10 Peking University Chinese core journal. papers, and more than 10 science and technology core journal papers，and 4 invention patents.
We are the first to carry out various difficult operations in the field of otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery in the northeast of Sichuan, and enjoy a good reputation both inside and outside the province. We have advanced medical equipment such as Olympus electronic rhinolaryngoscope, Stroz nasal endoscope, Medtronic nasal power system, Lyka surgical microscope, Jesse plasma knife, Keyman laser, international audiometry system, Stroz pediatric tracheobronchoscope, Aviation polysleep breathing monitor, Atomos otorhinolaryngology comprehensive treatment table, with a total value of more than 10 million yuan. Our medical treatment and scientific research are at the leading level in the field of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery in northeast Sichuan Province. We have not only made high achievements in traditional sinusitis, otitis media, laryngeal tumors, middle ear tumors, nasal-sinus tumors, etc., but also carried out new diagnosis and treatment methods in skull base tumors, neck mass, snore, dachryocystitis, vertigo, tinnitus, hearing, etc., and achieved good treatment results. In particular, in the past ten years, we have taken corresponding treatment measures for different causes of sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (snoring), and obtained good long-term results, which are well received by patients. At the same time, standardized treatment of allergic rhinitis were first carried out in northeast Sichuan, and good results were achieved. For difficult diseases of otolaryngology, head and neck, we have advanced inspection equipment in China, and have highly educated and high-quality personnel who have been strictly trained. After reasonable examination and clear diagnosis, we give standardized treatment and have achieved good curative effect, which has been affirmed and praised by the majority of patients.
